Chux founded Old Traditions Body Art in February of 2017 and has been piercing in the Elgin area for 18 years. Chux hand makes jewelry for Old Traditions and loves doing complex ear projects. He is a long time APP member and has taught classes for various piercing associations across the globe about the spirituality of piercing. In his spare time, Chux hangs out with his kids and does handpoke tattooing.

Bryan has ten years of experience working in the leading piercing studios in South America. He is the sweetest smiling face to get pierced or styled by. He excels everywhere between large gauge projects and dainty gold stylings with impeccable bedside manner! In Bryan's spare time, he rides his bike around the Chicago area.

Madison has been in the piercing industry managing the front of house for for six years and her jewelry set up is absolutely stunning! She loves doing inventory and organizing the studio just as much as she loves working hands on with clients! 

Sarah came to Old Traditions from managing the front end of a hair salon, so she is absolutely natural at working at the studio! Sarah is absolutely excelling at learning how to pierce. You can book with her for an apprentice piercing through her Instagram or through our website!

Kay is the welcoming face you see when you come into Old Traditions Body Art. She has been a client with us for seven years and was finally hired for her impeccable customer service and style! Kay is our one and only full time gallery staff. She is incredibly talented at jewelry styling as well as making every person feel comfortable before their appointment.

Haley started as Old Traditions Body Art as our Photographer in 2021. We welcomed her as a permanent part of our team because she was jumping right into the role! You can catch Haley's jewelry photos on the Old Traditions Instagram as well as on our online store. In Haley's time outside the studio, she is in college to be a teacher!

Sara has been piercing since 2008 and has been a proud member of the APP (Association of Professional Piercers) since 2018. She specializes in and performs just about any and every piercing and is one of the most genuine and kindest humans in the piercing industry. Sara is great with kids, as she's a mom to three boys!

Kristin just recently moved to Illinois from Central Florida and is excited to continue her piercing career and to grow here with us! She loves styling jewelry for piercings and helping clients curate their ears. When she's not piercing you can find her enjoying nature- kayaking and hiking.

Paulina has been a friend of the studio for years and recently joined us as a jewelry specialist. She is talented with jewelry styling and knowledgeable about gems and stones. When she's not at the studio, she enjoys spending time in nature and trying new restaurants.
